Performance at Six FlagsThe Burbank band department is scheduled to perform at Six Flags, Discovery Kingdom in Vallejo, CA on Monday, May 31, 2010 (Memorial Day). The estimated cost for each student will be $30.00, which covers the cost of a park day pass and transportation.
We need one additional parent chaperone before we can get approved for the trip. We need a total of five adults to travel with the band. All chaperone expenses will be paid except meals. You will also have to complete a day-time chaperone approval form unless already approved.
If you would like to help the band by assisting as a chaperone to Six Flags, Discovery Kingdom, please complete the bottom part of this letter and return it to Mr. Carson. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to work with your child. Spring Concert ThemeThe concert band students have elected to perform a variety of selections that were "Box Office Hits." Twenty selections were submitted by the band students, and the following tunes appeared more frequently than others: Lion King; Jurassic Park; and, Pirates of the Caribbean. We have added the above selections to our concert books and will begin rehearsals on Tuesday, February 8, 2010.
