President Melissa Arambula Vice President Damian Williams Secretary/Librarians Chariya Caldwell, Vera Goncharuk, Peaces Richard Uniform Crew Mai S Her, Michelle Alvarez, Genesis Valle Equipment Crew George Yang, Steve Vang, Peaches Richard Publicity Chair Persons Cheng Saephanh, Vern Saetern President Duties – the chief administrator of the band program (carries out projects set forth by the band director, boosts the morale of the band by staying positive, directs small groups, and is undoubtedly the spokes person of the band). The person that is elected for this position is a well-respected senior in the band who has unquestionable leadership and musicianship skills. Vice President – works along side the president as the number two chief administrator of the band. In the absence of the president, this person has the ability to carry out all the said duties of that office. The president and vice president work together on all major projects concerning the entire band program. Secretary/Librarians – main duties are music librarians (prepare, copy, and administer new music and collects, arrange in score order, and files old music). Takes minutes in all meetings, collects and counts funds, and manage the band library data base. Uniform Crew – issue, collect, and maintain the marching uniforms, manage the uniform data base, create and revise uniform policy (director approval required), and administer and collect uniform fees and fines. Equipment Crew – manage the staging, loading, and unloading of all band equipment, make and revise loading policy (director approval required), manage the equipment data base, and tag all instruments for repair. Publicity Chair Persons – collect newsworthy data on band concerts, trips, and competitions for the school newspaper or radio station, takes video/pictures of all band events, communicates the goals and purpose of the band program to the faculty and student body.
Special Projects 1. Enter Uniform, instruments, and other equipment into the appropriate data base. 2. Repair cabinets (replace hardware on doors). 3. Tag instruments for repair. 4. Choose summer uniforms, decide on new logo, and purchase shirt. 5. Begin music library. 6. Build a history of the Titan band program. 7. Awards program for outstanding band members. 8.
