Dear Band Parents and Students:
I am writing to express my sincere appreciation for the camaraderie you have shown me during my stay at Luther Burbank High School. It has truly been a pleasure working with you. Though it will be hard to find a family as generous as yours, I am moving to Tampa, Florida to continue teaching instrumental music. Parents, please find me on Facebook if you wish (Leon Carson Jr.). I would like to hear about your child's future success in music.
As you all know, Tampa was one of three cities that would best suit my family’s needs. I want to encourage each and every one you to stick together and keep the band growing. Remember, it’s your band! Take care of the equipment until you get your new director, accept change, and never mention my name. Change is the only constant
I am making this site a band site for instrumental music students everywhere. The URL for the site will soon change to bandtoolbox.net. I am revising it to meet the needs of secondary instrumental music students. Come to the site to get your questions answered, to use the links to take you to interactive sites, and to read about careers in music. You should find the site quite helpful.
Again, thank you for your generosity and “never give up on your music” (father and son duet scene, "August Rush"). It will take you places you never thought you would go. I will miss you dearly.
